Sources
Where the facts on Mimic Party Wiki come from, and what each source is trusted for.
| Source | Used for |
|---|---|
| Steam store listing and appdetails | Price, platform, languages, DLC, release date and system requirements. The one source for anything the store decides. |
| Steam Workshop (official API) | Each sound pack's title, preview, subscriber count, creation date and description, read through Steam's public GetPublishedFileDetails service; the list of pack IDs comes from the Workshop's own browse pages. |
| FoliesApp's Mimic Party page | How a round works, how scoring works, the wheel and sabotages, and the official FAQ. |
| FoliesApp's Steam announcements | The launch timeline: wishlist milestones, instant release and sales milestones. |
| Official store screenshots | Every in-game image on this site. Captions describe only what is visible. |
| Steam reviews and discussions | What players report and complain about, always labelled as player reports. |
| All Characters DLC listing | What the DLC unlocks and costs. |
| Playtest app listing | When the Playtest opened, and that its page now redirects to the full game. |
How the sound pack numbers are built
The browser lists every item in the Mimic Party Workshop, 4,428 at the last refresh: the IDs come from the Workshop's browse pages, the details from Steam's own API. The sound count comes from the line the in-game editor writes into a pack's description; 4,391 of the 4,428 packs carry it. Creator names are looked up for packs with at least 1,000 subscribers and shown where the creator's Steam profile has a name. Language and theme tags are read from pack titles, so an untagged pack is not necessarily unrelated.
Where sources disagree
- Player count. The store description and FoliesApp say 1 to 5 players; the requirements notes on the same Steam page say 2 to 5. Both are shown on the multiplayer page.
- Family Sharing. Listed as a feature on Steam; one review says it did not work. Both are on the free answer.
- Release status. FoliesApp's own page still describes the game as coming in Q3 2026. It has been out since August 27, 2026; this site follows Steam.
- System requirements. The Steam listing's OS, processor and graphics fields contain template text. Only 4000 MB RAM, DirectX 11 and 2000 MB available space are real values.
